What mountain should i climb?
Im going to New Hampshire this summer. I'm going to Franconia Notch, what mountains should i climb there?
I've lived in NH all my life. There are dozens of choices - Washington is a favorite, but it is a strenuous hike and may require cold weather gear at the top. Come prepared - the summit often has snow year-round. Expect high winds.
Chicorua is a nice 3,000 footer with a rocky summit. It's a shorter hike with some steeper sections and an excellent view. I recommend it if Washington isn't your thing.
Moosilauke is one of my favorites - it's a little bit out of the way but a lovely hike nevertheless.
Arethusa Falls is a nice short hike to a 100+ foot waterfall - a half day trip.
My advice is to buy a trail guide and see what fits your schedule and skill level.
