Getting a tattoo in less than 2 weeks!?

I'm getting a tattoo of the last three lines from my deceased grandmother's favorite prayer in her honor. It will be on my right side kind of on my hip area in edwardian black script with a small pair of angel wings at the end of the text. The artist said it would take about an hour. I have wanted this tattoo for a really long time and i finally have the guts to get it however I have a few questions:

1) I thought getting a belly piercing hurt pretty badly...am I gonna pass out from the pain with this tattoo? In other words is the pain from a tattoo gonna be unbearable to me? BTW if it matters im pretty small (105 lb), not a whole lot of body fat
2) Do you think the hour includes breaks or is it just straight through?
3) How long after getting the tattoo will it take to heal completely and does anyone have any good tips for getting the best healing results?
4) How do you distract yourself from the pain during the tattoo?

Feel free to add any other tips...thanks!!

Hi
Firstly I think the tattoo you are getting sounds lovely. I just love tattoos that have a significant meaning.
1. about the pain. I have two letters on my wrist for my two daughters. I did hurt a lot, but it was a tolerable pain. If I were you I would ask the tattoo artist where would hurt the least in the hip area. Once the tattoo is over the pain pretty much disappears straight away. Tell yourself this.
2. the hour probably doesnt really include breaks.
3. the tattoo will take about a 1-2 weeks to totally heal. Use nappy rash antiseptic to keep it clean. After a couple of days it will get a dry scabby look. Try not to pick this off. You need to leave the scab for as long as possible. Dont have baths or soak the area during this time either. Ordinary showering is fine.
4. During the tattoo try to talk to the artist to distract yourself. I would really recomment taking a friend along to talk to as well.
Hope it all goes well.
