How to teach my 7 year old daughter about religion?
I am a single mother who over the last year have found God. However, how do I go about teaching my daughter about religion or God.
First, live your religion. Go to church. Have her see you read the scriptures. Have her see you pray. Have her see you live the way you think God wants you to live.
Second, take her to church.
Third, get her her own bible. The children's version is great, but get her an adult version as well.
Fourth, read the scriptures together once a day. Have family prayer. Once a week have a family-type meeting where you focus on a lesson about the scriptures, and encourage her to give a lesson with your help. As she gets older, she can ask questions about problems she runs into in the scriptures and you can give lessons about your understanding.
