What do you think of Manchester United's bid for Franck Ribéry and coming departure of Ronaldo to Real Madrid?

I personally think it would be great for both teams...Ribery is world class and would fit in perfectly with United. Ronaldo, eventhough he doesn't show or express it as much any longer in the press, will fulfill his Iberian dream of joining Real Madrid in his prime. Though it would be sad to see him go, I'm little tired of his acts and know he probably wouldn't have as much success as he did at Old Trafford and the EPL. So what are your opinions???
Ronaldo has recently said:
"I'm no longer thinking of Madrid. That dream is dead," he told The People.
We all know what he says is not to be believed but I seriously boubt he can leave a club who are performing the way United are now. He'd have to be brain dead. If they win the champions league again this year then the world club championship comes again next year. If he wants to be remembered in the top 5 players of all time he has to play these games.
I can't vouch for his sanity or common sense but I can count on Fergie reminding him of what is the obvious decision.
As the Ribery deal (assuming that highly unlikely piece of "reporting" bears any truth) relies completely on Ronaldo departing then I for one think it is not going to happen.
Assuming Ron does go, the transfer figure of Ron would easily eclipse that of Ribery, therefore it would not be a world record...that seems logical, doesn't it??
