taking off and landing on a farm lot?
are there faa guidelines for private aircraft owners using their private planes from a private property? is it legal to take off and land from your own farm?
Well, you got some interesting answers here.
It all depends on WHERE YOU LIVE! The FAA does have regulations regarding this, as well as state and local laws. If you live close to an airport that has a control tower, you might have to call them. This is if your property is within their "airspace".
Secondly, it depends what state you live in (for the US). Some states will require you to register your land as an airport before landing there. Some states allow you to land anywhere you want, as long as you have the property owners permission.
Since you mention the FAA I assume you're in the U.S. If you are not in the US you may need to contact someone even if you're not near an airport. Some countries have very strict flight rules.
