Antique Photos For Sale

What color goes with an antique-looking charm? I have a color wheel,but it does no good for metallic charms!?

For example,I have a few copper charms,and they are part of the red/orange color group,and teal looks funny, but on the color wheel,while they are opposites, they compliment each other.
Gold, on the other hand, looks great with white,red,black,purple,ect.
Silver,shiny silver especially, looks great with red,black,purple, dark green,and almost everything.
This charm is an "antique-looking" one,oval,and 3-D- ish. It has black highlights, making it look like an antique.
So,my color wheel does great,but not with certain metallics!

Try it with neutral colors like gray, black or white. Either one would highlight the 'antiqueness' of the charm.

edit: If you look at pictures of chokers made in the 1800s, you'll notice that the 'ribbon" part of it (or in your case, the crocheted part) is usually black. So why not go the whole route, and use black to make it an "antique" choker?
