Best ship to sail the entire length of the Caribbean?
Of those who have been there and done that ... From your experience, what is the best type of vessel for cruising along the entire length of the Caribbean in Bimini Tobago?
Gretchen, if a choice is completely free, without restrictions on ... A catamaran sailing is really the best choice for the Caribbean. On the one hand, on most islands, you can literally beach the first arc, and this (in my opinion) is a real plus in these beautiful waters and pristine sandy beaches. Secondly, your entire living space is the deck level (no measures down in the lounge). Capabilities open deck level of the catamaran is ideal for the tropics. You're up at the same level as the fresh sea breeze, and not in a hole where it is hot and stuffy. When we cruise in the Caribbean, we sleep in hammocks and couches on the deck.
