How would a jeweler distinguish between a natural diamond and a man-made diamond?

Lets say both are 10 on the Mohs-scale of hardness and both have a similar cut and carat.
No, Pojo. I just want some scientific differences. For e.g. if both diamonds are flawless (no inclusions), can you still detect differences? Or is impossible unless it has been laser-signed somehow?

Are you talking about CZ or nano-diamonds? Pojo answered the former for you, but nano-diamonds would be virtually indistinguishable. The only way you could probably tell one from a natural diamond is to have a molecular analysis done, since nano-diamonds would have no imperfections whatsoever, where a natural diamond may have a few here and there.
