Coney Island
How long would my commute be to Coney Island from Manhattan?
I will be starting soon at the Coney Island Hospital and I live in Upper Manhattan, just curious how long it would take me by train/car? I have only went once and cannot remember exactly how long it took. Thanks in advance 
I used to live in Brighton Beach, a nearby neighborhood and Coney Island Hospital really is pretty far from Coney Island. It is on Ocean Parkway at Neptune Avenue.
If you live near the 4, 5, or 6 on the East Side, I would recommend taking the 4 or 5 to Atlantic Avenue and transferring to the B or Q trains to Sheepshead Bay. From there,use your free transfer to take the B36 towards Sea Gate and get off at Coney Island Avenue/Neptune Avenue. Either that, or you can take the Q to Ocean Parkway and walk up Ocean Parkway about 6 blocks (or take the B1 bus).
If you live near the 1, 2, or 3 train, take the 2 or 3 to Atlantic Avenue and transfer to the B or Q train to Sheepshead Bay. From there, take the B36 to Ocean Parkway/Neptune Avenue. Either that or you can take the Q to Ocean Parkway and walk up Ocean Parkway (or take the B1 bus)
If you live near the A, B, C, or D trains, you can take the D train to West 4th Street and transfer to the F to Neptune Avenue, or take the A train to Jay Street-Borough Hall and transfer to the F to Neptune Avenue. From Neptune Avenue, just walk a few blocks west. Either that, or you can get off at Avenue X and take either the B1 or B4 bus to Coney Island Hospital.
The total travel time should be about an hour to an hour and a half, depending on where you live.
